About this policy

Business Wodonga respects the privacy of its members, prospective members, event attendees, website visitors and other people who interact with the Chamber. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information provided through our website, memberships, events and Chamber activities.

How we use information

We use personal information to administer Memberships, maintain Member and Business records, publish approved Business Directory information, manage Events and tickets, process and reconcile payments, send Chamber communications, respond to enquiries, operate and secure the website, and meet our administrative and legal obligations.

Business Directory

Approved Business information may be published in the public Business Directory. This may include the Business name, description, logo, category, location, public contact details, website and social-media links. Private account information, payment details, internal notes and Membership records are not intended to appear publicly. People managing a Business profile must be authorised to provide its information and must have permission to publish any personal contact details or images included in the profile.

Memberships and Events

Membership records may include applications, renewals, Membership status, plan details, payment status and associated documents. Event records may include purchaser information, attendee names, ticket selections, responses to Event questions and attendance details. This information is available only to authorised people where required to administer the relevant Membership or Event.

Payments

Where online payments are available, payments are processed using an external payment provider. The Chamber may retain transaction references, amounts, payment status and receipt information. Chamber+ is not intended to store complete card numbers or card security codes.

Communications

We may send account notices, Membership information, payment confirmations, Event updates, newsletters and other Chamber communications. You may unsubscribe from optional promotional communications. Essential account, Membership, payment, security and Event messages may still be sent where necessary.
